There has been some confusion in switching over from my old website to my new one. I think it's all figured out, finally. Thanks for your patience. We're still trying to bring the comments section over from the old site. They should get here soon.
I set up a new mailbox (ann@annbrashares.com or just click on "write to Ann"), and the thing is, it actually works! I am getting emails from readers and writing back. It didn't work on my old site, so I'm very excited that it works on this one. Thanks to those of you who have written to me.
In other news, I was sick the week before last and I had to cancel my bookstore visits in Connecticut, Atlanta and Miami. If you were planning to come to one of those, I am sorry. I've never been sick enough to cancel an appearance before, and I felt terrible for it (in addition to feeling generally terrible because of being sick). I'm feeling much better now and thankful for modern medicine and antibiotics. I'm rescheduling those visits, and I will post them on this site as soon as they are definite.
And last of all, I found out that 3 Willows is going to be #1 on the New York TImes bestseller list of Children's hardcovers next week. I was pretty surprised and excited about that. The only problem is that I made a deal with my kids that if 3 Willows made it to the top spot on the list, I would take them somewhere warm this winter. I was sort of kidding around when I made the deal. I didn't think it would happen and I promptly forgot about it. But my kids have been very eager to remind me. So I guess we're going somewhere warm this winter. So much for the deal I made with myself that I was going to save money.

i so totally love your books and i think you're a really great author!!! i was extremely desperate to read 3 willows, and i didnt want to pay like 20 dollars for it (hehe sorry im on a tite budget or else i would!!)and then i wz just about ready to pay the money for it and then i just went to the library today and they had it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited to read it and im sure it will be amazing!!!!!!!!!!! please please PLEASE continue the series!!!!! i feel like now days theres hardly anything good to read...maybe i just need to get out there more ;)

Hi. I'm Nan and I just finished listening to The Last Summer(of You & Me). I'm listening to books for awhile because I've had my second shoulder replacement 4 weeks ago and I am still rehabing. I enjoyed your book very much. I didn't realize that you are the author of th "Sisterhood" books. I also enjoyed the first two books.
Is there a list of all of your books? I tend to find an author and gobble up all the books and then impatiently wait for the next. I have several authors that I enjoy, welcome to my reading list!

I think ur really awesome and you have inspired me towhrite my own book and im really stuck where im at and i have read almost all the sisterhood exept im almost finished with the 4th on " Forever in Blue" Im so exitd to read 3 willows i usually dont like reading but ur books have got me into reading alot more and i have got my best friend hooked, i really like how u mentoned Brian in 3 willows i cant stop from rading it. So one day when i become a fomous Author i want u to know that ur my imspiration. Well i kinda have an idea for your next book well it can be a girl who likes a boy and he already has a girlfriend and she puts a note in his locker but he kinda has a feeling its her and all throught the summer she sees him everywhere she goes so he eventually thinks she is stalking and so finally he confronts her and askes her if she is like stalking him or somting and her friends and her are at her basket ball game and Her stand up after their team wins and yell i love u at him and shes the only one standing and he just smiles at her then one day he starts talking to her in Class and she starts talking to him also so they kinda become friends and one day her love for him grows stronger and she has a major crush on him and the teacher finally moves them where there is a boy rivht in between them and their talking about how mutch of a goof ball the guy between them is and hes asking every body but her them hes askes her and she says what do u think she really didnt mean to sound harsh thats just how she speaks o everyone and then he thinks she a total snob and it goes on from there. Please try to fit some of this in ur next story.

What inspired you to write the Sisterhood series? The depth and unfailing love within frienship itself? They're wonderful, I must confess. And you did also inspire me to write three novels. I'm in the process of editting two of them, which is nothing but tedium. Inevitable tedium, however, because it cannot be avoided. I hope you continue to write.
I love your new book, Ann!!! I am reading "3 Willows" right now, I love it. I love how Ama is trying something new and being outdoors. Polly reminds me about myself sometimes. Polly is just like me. I really loved 3 Willows and I would love it if there is a second one. However, I do feel that at the same time, it'd be okay if there isn't because there are some books that really leave you hanging but this one doesn't. I really like the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series and I feel like the movies were pretty bad compared to them. Seriously, the didn't do the book any justice.

im only 13 1/2 and this is my first time posting a comment on any book website ever,and i just had to post a comment on this book,because i have recently been seperated from my bestfriends throughout junior high and i can realy relate to jo.Rereadaing this book has helped me understand what is realy going on with me and my bestriends,because we still talk but i`ve recently been pushed into the more popular teens at my school and summer vacations coming for me then the huge highschool.Reading this big has helped me alot and its givin me more confidence.I`ve also read all the sisterhood books and my favorite is the last summer of you and me.Im actually tipeing a book review for a school project on three willows when i found this website.&I would absolutelty love to read a second book of the three willows so i can realte to that book and experience the adventures jo,ama,and polly go on as highnschoolers.
p.s.my lang arts teacher has become annoyed with me constant reading of only your book and doing almost all my book reviews on your books.lol.
p.p.s.summer vacation is right around the corner for me,and im seriuosly scared of highschool.
